Study your stats for what works and do more of it

Growing on this platform is very much about whether other people, particularly Medium members, spend time reading what you write.

If growth is what you’re after — in the form of more followers, more people reading your posts and more income being generated — you need to follow the money on Medium.

Here’s why and how you do that.

Look for patterns in your top Medium articles

Go to your stats page and sort it by “Earnings” so the highest amounts are at the top. Then, it’s time to study these articles to see if you can find any patterns; when I did this with my own content, they were pretty obvious.

Five out of my top ten income producing articles have been about using ChatGPT in your work. Two others were about email marketing.

Then, there’s one that touches on both of these topics, “How to use ChatGPT to produce more marketing emails for your business.”
