When mapping out lead generation campaigns, I begin with the end in mind.

I spend time thinking about the ideal lead I’m looking for and the content they might be interested, so I end up reaching people who are more likely to buy the product I’m marketing.

This same process can easily be applied here on Medium, to attract readers that are more likely to keep coming back for more of your content. That way, you can further grow your follower numbers, increase your views and generate income.

Here’s how the process works.

First, here’s the approach I use for lead generation

With a content marketing program, a lead magnet is often involved.

For those not familiar, a lead magnet is a piece of content you give someone in exchange for their contact information (usually their email address, at the very least).

When you’re developing a lead magnet, you might come up with an amazing idea for one, like a report loaded with information about all the latest research on running Google Ads.

Lots of people would be willing to give you their contact information, if it sounds like your report…
