How to turn your YouTube videos into Medium articles using ChatGPT

This simple content shortcut will save you hours

I recently saved myself hours of time and got some great blog content, by using ChatGPT to convert a YouTube transcript into a blog post. Note: This was done with a YouTube video I created and had the right to use.

Here are the simple steps you can take to do it too.

You need to pull the transcript from YouTube first

The first thing you need to do is go to your YouTube video and click on the three dots located on the bottom right side, just below your video. The picture below shows you where to find it.

Choose the “Show transcript” option form that list.

Once the transcript pops up, select all the text in the transcript and copy it, so you can paste it into a document. For this, I recommend a Google Doc or something similar.

When you paste the copy into your document, it’s going to have all the timestamps and looks pretty choppy. This is ok. ChatGPT is going to fix all of this for you.
